But when he left India to study at Stanford University in America, he did not have the money to come to America. So his father spent the amount of his one year's hard earned money on his ticket so that he does not compromise with his studies and can study at Stanford. Sundar Pichai boarded a plane for the first time to go to America. Sundar Pichai lived as a paying guest in Stanford in 1995. To save money, he used old things, but did not compromise with his studies. He wanted to do PhD but circumstances were such that he had to work as a product manager in Applied Materials Inc. He had no identity even when he worked as a consultant in the famous company McKinsey.
